The Iraqis looked GREAT -- actually much better dressed than the American team. But I must admit, the Indian delegation looked positively the best.
I am so pleased for the Iraqi team and the country. After all they have been though, they made it and will compete with the rest of the world. One small step at a time.
I've been looking for her photo everywhere so I could write about her and the team. You beat me on this one :-)
She really looked gorgeous as Queen Ishtar. It was a big surprise for me when she walked into the stadium with the rest of the team.
This picture is great, a handsome group of people. The games are great and even better, the teamwork. The victory in the first game shows the world that Iraq has strength to overcome years of brutal dictators, Saddam and sons. Win or lose, the team and the woman competing for Iraq bring honor to your country. My best wishes to them all.
